Working with genomes

The Flow.bio database has the concept of "organisms" and "genomes". One "organism" can have many "genomes". For example, the human organism has genomes such as Ensembl GRCh38 and Ensembl GRCh37.

Only admins can add new organisms to the Flow.bio database, but any user can add custom genomes.

You'll notice that many genomes are already available - we have focused on providing Ensembl genomes, because they are the most compatible with nf-core pipelines.

From each organisms' genome page you can see the available versions, as well as samples that you have access to which have used these genome versions.
